Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Commissioning Engineer with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in the installation, tuning, and servicing of gas and oil-fired galvanizing furnaces. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial combustion systems, preferably from the OEM, capital goods, or industrial machinery sectors. This role involves both commissioning and after-sales support, requiring a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and client interaction skills. The candidate must be comfortable working on-site, independently or as part of a team, and be committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and safe furnace commissioning services to our customers.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the installation, commissioning, tuning, and testing of oil- and gas-fired galvanizing furnaces and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot combustion systems, electrical connections, and control panels during and after commissioning.
  • Perform start-up procedures and combustion efficiency tests, ensuring compliance with performance standards.
  • Set and analyze stack parameters (oxygen, CO₂, excess air) to optimize combustion and efficiency.
  • Operate and calibrate field instruments including flame detectors, thermocouples, pressure switches, actuators, level switches, and flow meters.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC control panels and burner management systems.
  • Provide after-sales technical support, including servicing, maintenance, and upgrades of installed systems.
  • Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams for new product development, testing, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, service logs, and commissioning reports.
  • Travel to domestic and international client sites for field assignments as required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in commissioning, tuning, and servicing industrial furnaces, burners, or heating systems.
  • Prior work experience in an OEM, industrial equipment, or capital goods environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of combustion principles, burner systems, fuel-air ratio tuning, and combustion safety.
  • Familiarity with industrial instrumentation and electrical control systems.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in field environments and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel and stay on-site during project execution phases.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Certifications or training in burner systems, combustion tuning, or PLC control systems will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and reporting software.
